Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to William Regal. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
William, thanks so much for taking the time to share your insights and lessons with us today. We’re particularly interested in hearing about how you became such a resilient person. Where do you get your resilience from?
I believe that resilience is one of the most important traits a person can have in life . Growing up I stayed with my grandparents alot . They moved to California from Mississippi and didn’t have much . But they worked hard and showed such resilience that it was impossible for me to not take on that trait. Many times when they could have given up they didn’t ! They taught me that there is a bigger picture than just “you”.
Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
My story started in Sacramento, Ca where I was born. I grew up around hard working people which I know is why I am the way I am now . Old school work ethic got me a long way . I joined the military at a young age because I felt like there was so much in the world for me to discover and learn about . I generally like being around people and learning about new cultures and different ways of living . I think learning about how different people operate day to day helps you in life situations as you have a deeper knowledge bank of how to deal with folks .
After leaving the Navy I decided that I wanted a business for myself . I began breeding European Doberman Pinschers and created a business that hopefully one day I can pass down. Regal Empire Dobermans started as a name on a piece of paper 5 years ago lol . Now it has blossomed to one of the largest Doberman breeding kennels in the nation.
I am currently working on a reality TV show called Breeders Atlanta . I can’t wait for the finished product as it will give an inside look at the world of dog breeding . This is something I have worked so hard on and I can’t wait to share it with the world !
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Dedication , problem solving , and knowing when to seek help are the 3 most important qualities that have helped me through my process of being a business owner . The biggest piece of advice I could give Someone is to understand that you don’t know anything . The moment you think you have it all figured out is the moment you stop growing .
Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
I am always looking for other entrepreneurs to collab with . Influencers are great as well as sports figures. Financial gain is important and if people invest in you , you began to create a larger brand . Influencers are the new media it’s always good to have your product linked to good ones . I think my Dobermans are athletic dogs and should be represented by big Time athletes, it’s just a great fit .
