Meet MacFour Ent

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to MacFour Ent. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi MacFour, great to have you with us today and excited to have you share your wisdom with our readers. Over the years, after speaking with countless do-ers, makers, builders, entrepreneurs, artists and more we’ve noticed that the ability to take risks is central to almost all stories of triumph and so we’re really interested in hearing about your journey with risk and how you developed your risk-taking ability.
We realized that we have to take risks in order to succeed. If we want to get to a place in the entertainment industry where we effectively don’t have to worry about anything financial wise, being able to focus on the thing that makes us money, we have to take risks to get there. Being complacent isn’t an option when you have dreams to fulfill . Take a chance. Better to say you at least tried then to have regrets.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
1. Listening. we make it a habit of actually paying attention to advice that people say. Obviously we are still selective about the advise we get but we prefer to learn from the mistakes of others rather then learn the hard way ourselves.

2. Comprehension. If you don’t understand what you are reading and how things work in the industry that is a quick way to get taken advantage of. If you can comprehend what you are reading and signing up for, the fine print of the contract won’t screw you over.

3. Mixing and mastering music. Sometimes the difference between a good song and garbage is how you record it, mix it, and master it. Knowing how you want a song to sound and getting a producer who can turn those sounds into something worth listening to makes all the difference.

Before we go, maybe you can tell us a bit about your parents and what you feel was the most impactful thing they did for you?
Believe in us. Knowing that we have people and a support system ready to back us up takes a lot of stress off our minds. There is no need to focus on proving such and such wrong or worrying about if people like you. You have people who believe in you, who are rooting for you. That’s sometimes all you need.
