Meet Electra Solis

We were lucky to catch up with Electra Solis recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Electra, thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?
Hello,

I am Electra Solis, let me share with you all the history of my work ethic.

My grandma Solis has always shared her stories of picking cotton, hearing the strength in her voice as she spoke about the hot days and bloody hands, she would have by the end of day encouraged me to never stop hustling.

Her success and struggle paved the way to my work ethic.

I remember hustling way back when I was in middle school until I was old enough to work at the mall. Working was not an option for me growing up in a single parent household. So, my Mentality has always been if grandma worked hard then so can I.

I have been in oil and gas for 15 years, my dedication to my career has funded the success of Glamour House Studios.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
My journey as an entrepreneur turned into me being an inspiration to other local women owned businesses and giving independent stylist a home to embrace their independence!

Glamour House Studios is the home for independent stylists to embrace their creativity and be a part of a community with empowering boss women.

We have also incorporated other creative boss babes to be a part of our studios, giving them the opportunity to run their own businesses in a public retail space.

Both studios are in the Greater Northside, this is our home, and we are proud to bring the neighborhood a unique salon studio to where we all treat each other like family.

During the pandemic we pulled it together as a community and started off with supporting other local businesses to highlight their businesses at our annual markets.

I am proud to say I enjoy wholeheartedly giving back to local charities, our community and especially the youth as they are the future.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
The best advice I can give to an upcoming entrepreneur is to balance out your personal life, business and always be available for yourself.

Remember you will have good and bad days. Stay positive, your bad days will not outlast all the good days.

If you provide services think of how that person felt the moment, they walked in and left. That is where you will find your inspiration.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?
Glamour House Studios is always open to collaborating with local businesses, the community and influencers.
