Meet Ramon poleo

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Ramon Poleo. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Ramon, so excited to have you with us today. So much we can chat about, but one of the questions we are most interested in is how you have managed to keep your creativity alive.
As a tattoo artist, I’ve found that creativity thrives on consistency and discipline. It’s not about waiting for a lightning strike of inspiration, but rather about showing up and seeking out new ideas every day. By making time for brainstorming, trying out new concepts, and experimenting with different styles, I’ve been able to nurture my creativity and keep it flowing. I’ve found that sticking to a routine not only fuels my imagination but also helps me grow as an artist. It’s all about staying open to inspiration and putting in the work to keep those creative juices flowing.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I’ve been tattooing for over 9 years, and for the past 4 years, I’ve been living and working in Miami, bringing a taste of Venezuela to the vibrant tattoo scene here. My focus is on high-end and custom tattoos, with a flair for black and gray geometric designs and freeform styles. I don’t just see myself as a tattoo artist; I see myself as a creator of wearable art. My clients aren’t just looking for a tattoo; they’re like art collectors eagerly awaiting the unveiling of a custom piece. The most exciting part of my work is seeing their faces light up when they see their new ink. It’s especially rewarding when it’s a project they’ve been dreaming about for years. my focus now is that more people now about my art and try new styles

What was the most impactful thing your parents did for you?
he most impactful thing my parents did was to support me in whatever I pursued. When I delved into graffiti, they weren’t thrilled about it, but they stood by me. Then, when I expressed my desire to study industrial design, they went all out to make it happen, even though it wasn’t a traditional career path. And when I transitioned to become a tattoo artist, it was another headache for them at first, but they still offered their support and allowed me to flourish as an artist and a be creative
