Meet Isaac Rendon

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Isaac Rendon. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Isaac below.

Isaac, thank you so much for taking the time to share your lessons learned with us and we’re sure your wisdom will help many. So, one question that comes up often and that we’re hoping you can shed some light on is keeping creativity alive over long stretches – how do you keep your creativity alive?
Rest, Sleep, Nap (I dream about scenarios and write them down when I wake up). One day I’ll tackle these ideas and stories. Do things you don’t normally do in your procrastination (find a new hobby). Socializing with new and old friends. Watch movies, from your favorite genre to new genres you’re not normally into. Music, expand your music preference. One of my biggest things is music; it really takes hold of my thoughts and sometimes provides the space to allow my thoughts to run free.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
Currently what drives me is interviewing those who are willing to tell their story; How they’ve become a better person and the manifestation of that focus and breathing that success.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Own the craft you do, even if it’s accidental, own it, you never know when you’ll need those broken pieces.

Don’t limit your opinions, beliefs, genre, categories. You will never know when you’ll need other resources outside your usual reach.

Lastly, Teachable. Stay teachable as much as you can , overtime you will feel a switch in when you know enough in your craft and skills, but learn to stay humble and bless on.

Who has been most helpful in helping you overcome challenges or build and develop the essential skills, qualities or knowledge you needed to be successful?
In my earlier days before I took it on seriously, there were a few people along the way that helped me understand the tools that were at hand. Nowadays, you have things like Social Media and Youtube to really understand the craft and give a voice to your intuition when it comes to my field. Reaching out to that editor you are a fan of (one DM away) or digging deep into that 3am rabbit hole about editing, lights, audio, camera gear etc. I’d say recently these are the avenues that really help build and develop things within my craft.
