My insane work ethic is like a family heirloom, passed down from and rooted in the inspiring journey of my parents, who hustled their way here from Trinidad shortly before I was. born. Picture this: they juggled multiple jobs and hit the books, all in the pursuit of making it in a new country with unwavering determination. Watching their grit and grind, I absorbed a lesson in hard work that’s stuck with me. It has been the bedrock of my own commitment to hard work. Their tales of overcoming obstacles and putting in the extra hours coupled with the sacrifices they made to create opportunities for our family, have become my personal compass for commitment. It’s not just about a job for me; it’s about embodying the spirit of hustle they brought from Trinidad to give us a shot at a better life. Their story serves as a constant reminder that success is not merely bestowed but earned through relentless effort and a steadfast work ethic.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Looking back at the rollercoaster ride of my journey, three game-changers were resilience, adaptability, and the hunger for constant learning. Resilience was like my secret weapon against setbacks, adaptability was my GPS for navigating unexpected twists, and the never-stop-learning mindset? That was my turbo boost. So, here’s my friendly advice for those early in their superhero journey: see challenges as character-building levels, be ready to dance with change, and never stop being a curious student of life. Trust me, it’s not just about reaching the goal; it’s about enjoying the crazy, insightful ride getting there!
