Meet Bree Nesia

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Bree Nesia. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Bree, so great to have you with us and we want to jump right into a really important question. In recent years, it’s become so clear that we’re living through a time where so many folks are lacking self-confidence and self-esteem. So, we’d love to hear about your journey and how you developed your self-confidence and self-esteem.

I wasn’t always confident , however what helped me the most was discovering my Identity in Christ and believing what God says about me as true instead of what the world says.

You’d be surprised how many lies and false identities we put on ourselves due to ignorance of God’s word , culture and the people we surround ourselves with.

Even the church can be toxic at times. However don’t let that discourage you from developing a personal relationship with your creator. My biggest encouragement is to get to know God for yourself.

I had to do a lot of unlearning , cutting people off , and lots of deliverance to come to a place of finally feeling comfortable in my skin as I am. All glory be to God!

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

I’m just an ATL southern girl that loves Jesus , fashion and a good laugh! 😅

What I’m currently focused on is developing a Kingdom Clothing Line for women of all shapes and sizes.

It’s hard nowadays finding clothing that’s modest yet fashionable , and flatters every silhouette. I want to change that!

We live in a culture that teaches women they’re not beautiful unless they distort their bodies. The message of my brand is to “embrace God’s original design.”

You’re enough as you are. ( Ecclesiastes 7:13 )

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Here’s 3 nuggets of wisdom that helped me!

1. Stop seeking validation from people. You rob yourself of authenticity and a peace of mind when you do.

2. Don’t be afraid to stand out or alone. You won’t have to shrink yourself or become something God didn’t create you to be with the people who are meant for you. They’ll love and accept you and all your quirks as you are.

3. Without God there is no success. He IS the blueprint! Anything not built on Him will crumble. Seek His wisdom in everything you do!

Do you think it’s better to go all in on our strengths or to try to be more well-rounded by investing effort on improving areas you aren’t as strong in?

I definitely recommend being well rounded. I graduated high school thinking I was going straight into fashion design however my path didn’t end up that way , and I’m glad it didn’t!

Instead I pursued business and marketing. I graphic designed professionally for female entrepreneurs in the beauty , hair and fashion industries for 5+ years.

I also have experience in photoshoot creative direction , image styling and interior design.

Had I not had this experience I’d be struggling right now. All these skills I’ve accumulated throughout the years are needed and necessary for building a brand. Being well rounded really helps sharpen your attention to details.
