We recently connected with Jannine Krause and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Jannine, thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?
As a young girl I watched my Dad work in his excavating business. When I was old enough to help out he taught me how to think through tough situations on the job. He taught me the value of hard work and the payoffs. I believe he was well liked and had a very successful business due to the quality work that he did for his clients. I now apply what I learned from him in my medical practice.
Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I’m known as Dr. J – a naturopathic doctor, acupuncturist and podcaster. The best part of my business is that I get to meet and connect with incredible people through my podcast and in my virtual office every day. I love learning about my client’s lives and guiding them in their health journeys. Getting to interview people on my podcast who have amazing stories, products, tools and programs is a joy for me. The Dr. J brand is currently working on expanding our course offerings as well as collaborating on some exciting new projects coming the end of 2024.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
I believe getting to know yourself on a deeper level so that you can be truly authentic is crucial as it helps you to refine your message and stand out in the crowd. Learning copywriting and speaking skills were the other two areas that have been incredibly impactful in my journey. There are a lot of resources out there for copywriting and developing speaking skills, I invite you to explore what’s out there and what resonates best with you and take a few courses or read a few books in those areas to help you develop your skills. When it comes to getting to know yourself, learning to meditate and taking courses from folks like Dawson Church can be incredibly eye opening when it comes to finding your purpose and refining your message for the world.
What’s been one of your main areas of growth this year?
The biggest are of growth and improvement in the last 12 months has been in the area of personal development. Through the lectures and books of Abraham Hicks, Dawson Church, Joe Dispenza and Bruce Lipton, as well as the many folks that have been on my podcast, I’ve discovered how much my thoughts and beliefs have held me back in my career and in life. I’ve learned to become the person I want to be, I have to change how I think. Your thoughts guide your habits, routines and behaviors – beneficial and non-beneficial. Once you see this you can’t go back to the old ways of thinking. Pairing my desire to think differently along with my dedication to daily meditation, I’ve been able to bring forth what I want and don’t want for my future as well as my purpose.
