Meet Rosie Tran

We were lucky to catch up with Rosie Tran recently and have shared our conversation below.

Rosie, we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?
I get my resilience from myself and from God. It sounds so corny but there is something deep inside of me that helps me to keep going on. I have been through a lot in my life- from being hospitalized and almost dying when I was 7 years old to having cancer and also being in an abusive relationship. There was always something inside of me that told me to keep going and that I could do it and overcome anything. I don’t know if that is my spirit, my soul, the Lord. I don’t know what it is, but it’s a voice – an energy- inside of me.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I am a comedian, model, podcaster, and entrepreneur. I feel so lucky and excited to be able to be a creative person in this current environment with the internet and new and changing times. I love making people laugh, sharing my modeling on OnlyFans, interviewing unique and interesting people on one of my many podcasts, and creating projects through my various investments and businesses. I think it’s just an amazing time to be alive and doing things!

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
The three most impactful things that affected me were curiosity, knowledge, and mentors. Without my curiosity for life and how things work, I don’t think I would be where I am today. I had a thirst for knowledge and figuring out how things work, and thanks to the internet I had real life and online mentors. I think my best advice is that you don’t need to know your mentor for them to mentor you. With youtube and other outlets, you can gain knowledge from the smartest people in the World. You can watch Ted talks and listen to podcasts from the greatest thinkers, investors, and brilliant minds that you would never have had access to in the past. This is a truly amazing time!

Awesome, really appreciate you opening up with us today and before we close maybe you can share a book recommendation with us. Has there been a book that’s been impactful in your growth and development?
I would say it was not a book, but the most impactful podcast, which also has a book is a series by Naval Ravikant. The book is called “the Almanac of Naval Ravikant” but the podcast series is called “How to get rich without getting lucky.” Oh my! It’s more than about money. He is a modern day philosopher and talks about how things work – the World, Wealth Creation, etc. He is an entrepreneur and, in my opinion, a genius. The most valuable lessons I learned from him were about compound interest. Most people think about compound interest in terms of finance or a savings account, but he explains that everything is compound interest – your relationships, knowledge, health, etc. So, you want to make sure you are compounding in the right accounts! For example, if you don’t take care of your health, the health issues eventually compound against you. It is really powerful information.
