Meet Andreas Kremer

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Andreas Kremer. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Andreas below.

Andreas, we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?
As a business owner resilience is a key ingredient, nothing comes easy and building up a business comes with constant challenges you must overcome. Growing up skateboarding has far been the biggest tool in developing my resilience. Skateboarding is a constant battle and every time I do it I know I’m going to fall countless more time then I succeed yet I do it anyways. Every fall, every missed trick, is a lesson in perseverance. With each setback, I learn to dust off and get back on the board. It’s this resilient mindset that shapes how I approach obstacles both on and off the board, teaching me that every stumble is an opportunity to rise again, stronger than before. Skateboarding has not only taught me resilience but it has largely influenced and inspired much of the work that I do.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
My name is Andreas and I have built up my own Graphic Design service business. I have been interested in art for as long as I can remember and I decided to carry this interest into my career. I have been working as a designer since 2017 and slowly growing my business year after year. Recently this past year I have combined my passion for fine art alongside my graphic design business. I now not only help companies on the back end designing their logos, websites, and creating their brand but I have also started working with business that have store fronts and paint large scale murals to promote their businesses publicly as well.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
By far the most impactful quality that has carried me this far has been my consistency. Since I started my business in 2017 I haven’t stopped working on it. This consistency has grown my business over the years even when it was so small it didn’t even seem like it was growing. Looking back I can clearly see how far I’ve come and I wouldn’t be where I am now if I didn’t stay consistent. Another thing that has helped me was following something I truly love, this has carried me through all the failures and tough times along the way. Lastly, are the connections I’ve made over the years. I wouldn’t be where I am without all the incredible people in my life and I owe all my success to them!

What would you advise – going all in on your strengths or investing on areas where you aren’t as strong to be more well-rounded?
When building a business I think it is crucial to go all in on your strengths. Your strengths are what make you special and will help you stand out from the rest. I think it’s still important to know and learn but and pieces about your weaknesses but you can and should hire someone down the road to take care of that.
