Meet Diana Hall

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Diana Hall. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Diana below.

Hi Diana, thanks for joining us today. Let’s jump right into something we’re very focused on here – improving our ability to make decisions. Everyday, we’re faced with decisions that can impact the future of our careers, businesses, relationships and more and so one of the most impactful areas for personal development, in our view, is decision-making. Can you talk to us about how you developed or improved your decision-making skills?
Making decisions become easy when you are very clear on your mission/vision/goals. Every morning, I meditate on my purpose and clarify my goals in my mind – this gives me the ability to quickly and easily assess and make decisions throughout the day. Any opportunity or option that comes to you during the day will be easy to address: Does this support my goal and align with my values? If so, I invest in it. If not, it’s immediately rejected.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I have degrees in Business and Chemical Engineering, and founded ActivArmor in 2014 to offer a sanitizable, washable cast alternative using 3D printed plastics. ActivArmor casts are worn by NFL players and other professional athletes, and now available to ANY patient or provider worldwide for on-site fabrication with any 3D printer using their automated design software. ActivArmor is covered by insurance. www.ActivArmor.com

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
For me, the most valuable experiences were from following mentors that I admired. Whether you need a degree to pursue your dreams or not, I’d spend some time working for people that you look up to and would like to learn from. Gather your experiences like tools into a toolbelt, and then find your unique niche to become the subject matter expert to fill a need gap and pursue your dream with reckless abandon. Don’t worry about being well-rounded, go all-in on what you love.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
Companies like mine, that are disruptive to the status-quo of the industry face challenges of culture, regulation, and old-school systems in order to be embraced as a standard-of-care. We need the help of everyone to take charge of their healthcare – demand that their providers and hospital systems adapt new technologies, treatments and devices to improve their care and quality of life. As a woman-owned tech startup, we need all the help we can get to start a viral, grass-roots movement – to bring awareness to innovative products like ActivArmor! ANY provider can order a custom, waterproof plastic cast for any patient by simply using our free iPhone app. It’s covered by most insurance plans. We ask you to please follow us on social media (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok) @ActivArmor #ActivArmor and follow, like and share our posts to help us get the word out, and ask for it by name!
