Meet Andres Tapia

We were lucky to catch up with Andres Tapia recently and have shared our conversation below.

Andres, so good to have you with us today. We’ve got so much planned, so let’s jump right into it. We live in such a diverse world, and in many ways the world is getting better and more understanding but it’s far from perfect. There are so many times where folks find themselves in rooms or situations where they are the only ones that look like them – that might mean being the only woman of color in the room or the only person who grew up in a certain environment etc. Can you talk to us about how you’ve managed to thrive even in situations where you were the only one in the room?
I always give it my 100 percent in every show i do, i try to read the room and make sure everyone is enjoy their time

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I love what i do so much, for me the best part is went i connect with the crow and i turn off the music and they keep singing the song or see people dancing and smiling for me is everything. This year we hoping to open a new club with all the things people always ask me about they wish we have in knoxville

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Everything takes time and for me the moments i learn the most is when i invited it other dj or people that love music to my place and we all mix music and share ideas because we all were having fun but at the same time learning from one and other. And for the folk that are staring their journey find someone that can answer your questions and don’t be afraid to ask for help if you don’t know something

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
I love to collaborate with people and when i do is people that share the same passion as me for music so if you have passion and you think we can do something great together just send me a message!!
