We were lucky to catch up with FVDGE NASTE recently and have shared our conversation below.
FVDGE, thank you so much for joining us and offering your lessons and wisdom for our readers. One of the things we most admire about you is your generosity and so we’d love if you could talk to us about where you think your generosity comes from.
My generosity comes from the privileges that I’ve been able to experience in .life and the obstacles I’ve had to face when I did not have access to that support.
I give because I wish things were handed to me, however in my healing journey I’ve been trying to find ways to use discernment and ask myself, am i giving to receive something in return or am I giving because its in my heart to give ? That always allows me to stay true to myself and feel less resentment.
Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I am a artist, and founder of Ghetto Heaven NYC LLC. Our primary goal is to create transformative communal healing experiences that celebrate the strength and creativity of Black culture while offering a safe space for healing from trauma.
Our services include Hood Yoga, and our R+B Sound Baths.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Three skills that were most impactful to me on my journey is observation, resilience, and courageousness. The advice that I would give to someone who is just beginning their journey is to hone in on what makes them unique. Once you recognize the gift you were meant to bring to this world you’ll feel fulfilled everyday you engage with that space.
Remember to acknowledge what makes you happy, thats where your purpose lies.
Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
I am looking to collaborate with folks who are interested in blending Hip Hop + spirituality and feel called to help empower themselves and others on creating lifestyles that allow them to prioritize their self care and self worth.
