Meet Sebrina Purcell

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Sebrina Purcell. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Sebrina, thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?
I’ve always been a hustler. I was an only child in my mother’s house (who was a single mother) until I was 13 years old so If I wanted anything I had to do it myself. I had to be extremely productive and efficient.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I am an actor based in Los Angeles. I am very fortunate to be in a business where I get to be a vessel to tell stories that change people’s perspectives or just make them escape and be entertained.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
It would be 1.) Willing to be a constant student. Not thinking I know everything. If you think you know everything you have no room to grow. Try not to say “I know that”.
2.) Knowing how to be a team player. Being an actor is a collaborative effort. You can not make a project just by yourself. It also a business built on relationships.
3.) When I say I’m going to do something to really do it, That way you are not letting people down and most important you are not letting yourself down.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
I am always looking for professional filmmakers and producers to collaborate with. If interested in collaborating I can be contacted through my representation.
