Meet TIFFANY WALKER

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful TIFFANY WALKER a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

TIFFANY, looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?
My work ethic was put into action at the age of 15 where I worked at McDonald’s. Once I started to work, I never stopped. I enjoyed the reward of receiving a check that I earned.

I learn my work ethic from my family. I come from a large family of hard working individuals, who I watched work for everything they had. I watched my mom have a vision and become an entrepreneur and anyone who have experienced entrepreneurs is a dreamer thats not afraid to presue thier dreams. My mom always worked to keep me well taken care of. I watch my dad go after his dream of owning a door and window company. Thirty years later he owns a very successful company that was built from scratch and 30 years later he is still the owner and operter of that dream. Watching them both work with passion help me understand that I to can do whatever I want. It just took me awhile to know that was art and photography.

Growning up I knew of my grandparents all to be hard workers, My aunts are amazing working women and my uncle was the pastor of a church, I have a host of beautiful cousins, and family friends who I have had the opportunity to look up to growing up, they have set a great example of what it looks like to go for what you want.

Becoming a mother I then elvate my work ethic moore because I then knew I had to show up bigger and provide for my children. It was later in life I found my familiar passion and love for art and photography, once that passion was unlocked my world changed and I was inspired to build a even stronger work ethic, a different type of work ethic, the type that I truly felt in control of and enjoyed even on my worst day. Me Being a mom I want my children to look at me to know that they can go for and achieve what ever dreams they may have with passion and hard work.

Being a photographer has pushed me into the motion of wanting to use all the life skills and knowledge I have learned over time this far and put it to use. I would like to keep working on being the best version of me to help create something special for the passion I have for art and photography and hope that my work eithc attracts like minded people or those that can help guide me to reach my dreams.

I have the desire to help my community grow and although it may be a lonely fight, I believe it is worth the fight… Kansas City is worth the fight!

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
As a photographer I look to capture moments that are a once in a lifetime or a special moment in time.

I specialize in small & intimate events, behind the scenes events, engaments, action sports photography, headshoots, and branding. My branding concept is to not only do what I love with my camera, but to also promote local business and talent through my love for art.

Currently what is the most exciting to me is that, I have had the pleasure of working with some local business and local talent that was either looking to push thier business to the next level or just to show who they are and what it is they are offering to the world and I so look forward to working with many moore.

I am currently promoting my clients throug social media and plan to one day have the opportunity to branch out in other creative ways.

I believe there is nothing like a photo to show what you stand for, what your offering or what your trying to accomplish.
The quote “A picture is worth a thousand words” is such a true statement how intriguing is it to litterly freeze a moment forever.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
The first important skill to have is the desire to keep learning new skills. No successful person is successful because they decided to stop learning. What you put in you get out.

Having the ability to communicate effectively is so important and mandatory in getting your needs met and understanding others.

Last I would say learn yourself. By taking the time to really learn you it increases you ability to walk in your journey alone if need be. It gives you the ability to be honest with yourself and therefore helps you to call yourself out on getting in your own way. When you truly learn you you will become unstoppable. Invest in you.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
I do not have a specific list of collaboration I would like to have, but I definitely would like to make my way throughout the Kansas City area to learn, support and present all of this great talent and culture we have to offer locally.

I hope to brake barriers and collabrate with other like minded individuals, thoses pruseing their dreams, and thoese living thier dreams. If given the chance I would like tell thier story of passion and dreams through my lens. Those who are ready to embark in this journey with me can reachout to me on the listed social media links or via email.
