We recently connected with Kayla Greaves and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Kayla, thank you for being such a positive, uplifting person. We’ve noticed that so many of the successful folks we’ve had the good fortune of connecting with have high levels of optimism and so we’d love to hear about your optimism and where you think it comes from.
Even when things are “bad,” somehow, some way, everything works out for the best in the end. So while going through a rough patch is never fun, it’s always necessary.
Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I worked in corporate as a full-time editor for many years, and last year decided to go freelance. Since letting go of my 9-5, I’ve been able to wear many more hats, as not only just a writer, but also a consultant, speaker, and more. It’s been really satisfying for me to be able to create my own path.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Having faith is really it for me. Sometimes things won’t make logical sense, but you have to follow your intuition—only you know what’s right for you.
Before we go, any advice you can share with people who are feeling overwhelmed?
I give myself grace and allow myself to take breaks. If I’m not in a good place mentally, anything I produce is going to be a reflection of that.
