Meet Tiffany Jeans

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Tiffany Jeans a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Tiffany, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.
Finding my purpose has been an incredible journey of discovery, growth, and reflection. It all began with a strong desire to support women of color. As a Black woman myself, I’ve faced challenges in mainstream wellness spaces that lacked awareness and inclusion for diversity. I wanted to create a space where women of color could truly feel seen and heard, not just as a professional goal but as a personal mission born from my own need for understanding and community.

As I started on this path, I quickly realized the immense power of shared experiences and the incredible potential of coaching. I’m still in the early stages of my practice, but every step has been invaluable. Helping women discover their authenticity and pursue personal fulfillment has been beyond rewarding. It’s confirmed my dedication to growth, both for myself and for those I coach.

I’m sure I’m preaching to the choir, but let me tell you, the entrepreneur’s life isn’t the easiest. I’m constantly learning and recalibrating. As a new coach, finding clients, making my mark in the coaching world, and balancing life – it’s a daily challenge. It’s taught me so much about the power of vulnerability and being authentic. That’s why I started my YouTube channel. It’s a six-month diary of my own journey to reclaim wellness, showing the real ups and downs of balancing health, emotional well-being, and creativity. It’s about being authentic and growing alongside my clients.

Now, my purpose is evolving to include supporting holistic healing practitioners. I’m diving into high-performance coaching, exploring how habits, mindset, and actions are all interlinked. This exploration is teaching me so much about personal growth, and I’m discovering how crucial it is to align our habits with our deepest desires and life’s meaning. Every step of this journey is a lesson in living a purposeful life, and these insights are key to my growing practice.

In short, finding my purpose is a continuous journey. It’s about embracing who I am, facing the challenges of being an entrepreneur head-on, and committing to never stop growing, both personally and professionally. And it’s not just about guiding others; it’s about walking the path with them, learning and adapting as I go.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
Thank you for this opportunity to share about my work and journey. My path to becoming a certified life coach has been unique and deeply personal. It all started when a life coach approached me, considering me as a potential client. However, after a few conversations, the tables turned, and I found myself coaching her instead. That was a pivotal moment for me, a real eye-opener to my natural calling in this field. My diverse background, spanning from psychology and social action to meditation, yoga, and creative pursuits like jewelry making and dancing, has intricately shaped my approach to coaching.

Initially, my focus was on supporting women of color, but as I grew professionally, I expanded my reach to include holistic healing practitioners. This evolution reflects my commitment to empowering a diverse range of individuals to live purposefully and in alignment with their core values.

The heart of my coaching practice is about developing high-performance habits, blending various life coaching techniques with the insights gained from my own life experiences. My YouTube channel serves as a personal documentary of my six-month wellness journey, where I integrate holistic practices with high-performance habits. This journey, culminating in a celebratory mermaid photoshoot, showcases the joy and fulfillment in embracing new challenges and personal growth.

What makes my approach unique is how I’ve woven my personal experiences into practical, actionable insights for my clients and audience. While my channel provides a glimpse into my journey, I also offer one-on-one coaching for those seeking a more personalized experience. I’m excited about launching new courses soon, especially designed to empower holistic practitioners to fully embody their purpose in every aspect of their lives.

I warmly invite everyone to explore my YouTube channel and connect with me personally. Through coaching or my upcoming courses, I’m here to guide and support you on your journey to self-exploration and joyful development.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
It’s difficult to pick just three; however, in my experience, empathy, resilience, and authenticity have each played a crucial role in my journey. Empathy deepens my connection with clients, resilience keeps me steady through challenges, and authenticity is the foundation of trust in my practice. For those starting out, I suggest nurturing these qualities: actively listen to foster empathy, view challenges as resilience-building opportunities, and always stay true to yourself.

Skill-wise, concentrate on active listening, effective communication, and refining your coaching skills. These are vital for understanding and guiding clients. And in terms of knowledge, I’m a bit biased towards high-performance habits right now, as it’s the type of coaching I’m immersed in. It’s transformative and beneficial for both personal growth and client success. Most importantly, remember in coaching and holistic practices, your growth is as vital as your clients’. Embrace this journey of mutual development!

Awesome, really appreciate you opening up with us today and before we close maybe you can share a book recommendation with us. Has there been a book that’s been impactful in your growth and development?
Choosing just one influential book is as challenging as narrowing down my journey to a few key aspects, but Viktor Frankl’s ‘Man’s Search for Meaning’ stands out for its profound impact. Frankl’s experience and wisdom offer deep insights, but two in particular resonate with me the most. He says, ‘Ultimately, man should not ask what the meaning of his life is, rather must recognize that it is he who is asked… and he can only respond by being responsible.’ This aligns beautifully with many philosophies from Yoga to coaching, emphasizing that our purpose is discovered within ourselves, and our responses to life’s challenges are key.

Another profound insight from Frankl is, ‘Everything can be taken from a man but one thing: the last of the human freedoms – to choose one’s attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one’s own way.’ This reminds me that our greatest freedom is choosing our attitude, no matter the circumstances. I keep both quotes close to inspire and guide me daily. Frankl’s book isn’t just a read; it’s a transformative experience, offering invaluable lessons in resilience and personal freedom. I highly recommend it to anyone on their personal growth journey.
