Meet Savannah Broeren

We recently connected with Savannah Broeren and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Savannah, thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?
I get my work ethic from my mom. Growing up, she told us that if we want something, we have to work for it, and that there are no short cuts. That’s something I continue to remind myself!

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I’m a photographer. It’s my passion to capture people doing something that love. I’ve found my place in concert/performance photography but I’m willing to branch out should someone ask. I try to keep my services free, but I’m always willing to take any payment should someone feel the need to pay me! I’m a firm believer in not making your artistic passion a “job”. I’m so lucky that I’m in a position to be able to do that!

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Looking back, I think my work ethic, my quick understanding of camera equipment, and my knowledge of color theory were all impactful. The best advice I can give is to do research on everything about photography and to just show up. “Just show up” has been my motto throughout this journey. Show up to every commitment you make, even if you’re tired. Doing research on your equipment, including software you use, and color theory will make getting your name out there so easy because your understanding will show through your work!

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
I’m always willing to collaborate with people. I mainly collaborate with performers, specifically musicians, but I’m always excited to branch out to whoever needs or wants my services!
