Meet Paul Burns

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Paul Burns. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Paul below.

Hi Paul, thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?
Luckily I have an amazing family and great group of friends always supporting me so I thank them for that. The idea of being lazy and not doing much in this life makes me feel worthless so I always make sure everyday I’m being productive at all times.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I am a hard working musician and a drummer. I’ve been in the music industry for quite a while now. It’s something I really enjoy doing in my life. More so a passion that I’ve been gifted in this lifetime. One of the things about music I really love doing is performing live shows. That’s something that will never change, It’s what I live for.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Playing the drums, creating songs, and making art

If you knew you only had a decade of life left, how would you spend that decade?
Being able to maintain those personal goals for myself everyday and being able to fully dedicate to it. Whether it’s being able to be financially comfortable, being a lot healthier, network a lot more or finding ways to travel more and go on tour. And then of course keep on practicing and putting in the hours to become the best drummer I can be.
