Meet Corinne Eckert

We were lucky to catch up with Corinne Eckert recently and have shared our conversation below.

Corinne, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?
I was 23 when I graduated from my Master’s program and landed a job in New York City with my dream company. I spent six months with this company and loved every minute of it, but something felt off. I didn’t understand what was happening; I grew up in northern New Jersey where the general expectation was that after college, you return to the area and work in New York City. I was doing that, plus I had two degrees, was working in a position that was created specifically for me at my dream company, I was traveling the world for work… I “had it all”, so why did I still feel empty?

It took me a few years to truly figure it out, but I came to realize that I was following everyone else’s definition of success – ie. the one that was conditioned into me since I was a little kid, so I thought it was mine for over 20 years – as opposed to my definition of success.

Since I was 14 years old and saw Justin Bieber at Madison Square Garden, I knew I wanted to be famous. I wanted to stand on stages and create an atmosphere where people are in the moment, energized, and purely happy. I had put that vision on the backburner for 13 years because when I started voicing my dreams, laughter followed. It wasn’t until I turned 27 that I decided to own it, which changed my life drastically for the better.

As I’ve spent the last two years working toward my goal, I have learned so much about the power of mindset and betting on yourself. Through this process, my purpose has become clear: to empower people to unlock their full potential and own their big dreams, and to support them as they turn these ideas into reality.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I am a High Performance and Breathwork Coach – I help ambitious people go after their BIG goals that no one else believes in and create the lives they truly desire. I use mindset coaching and ThetaBreathwork as modalities to help clients connect with themselves on deeper levels, unlock their full potential, foster confidence, and build momentum as they pursue their definitions of success.

I am so passionate about people betting on themselves and going after their big, “delusional” goals because we ALL have the power to make incredible changes in our lives and in the world. I believe that if we leaned into the ideas that have been gnawing at us for years, we would be living in alignment with our truest talents, instead of burnt out and stuck in the ratrace that has become all-too-normalized. We operate from a different energy when we’re in alignment – one of ease, flow, excitement, and happiness. As we share this with the world, we positively affect those around us, who then may feel inspired to go after their big goals. This ripple effect can start from anyone anywhere, and has limitless potential to spread happiness and change lives. Ultimately, that’s the vision – to raise the world happiness level by empowering people to live in alignment with their purpose.

For people ready to take the first step, The Accountability Club is a great place to start! This monthly membership is designed to help you become your future self now and take the actions to set the ball in motion. With weekly meditations, a community group, and monthly goal setting calls and ThetaBreathwork sessions, The Accountability Club holds you accountable for making the changes you know you can make to create the life you desire.

For those already on their journey and looking to uplevel, 1:1 Coaching options are available.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
The most important thing to focus on is your mindset – how you view yourself, what’s possible for you, and the world around you. Your brain listens to whatever you tell it and looks for examples to make those thoughts true. So, if you’re thinking negative thoughts, you’ll see doubt and disappointment all around you. Conversely, if you think positive, empowering thoughts, you’ll find abundance and opportunities everywhere. Your mind is a powerful tool – learn how to use it to your advantage. (And yes, it will take time to master your mindset – be patient with yourself and practice, practice, practice!)

The second thing I would say is embrace failure. When I started my entrepreneurship journey in 2019, I thought failing was the worst thing that could ever happen – WRONG! The worst thing that could happen is staying exactly where I am because I’m too afraid to move. When you fail, you learn, which ultimately gets you closer to success. The more comfortable you can get with failing (or the possibility of failing), the faster you’ll move toward success. And remember: failing doesn’t mean anything about you or your ability to succeed. If anything, it means you’re courageous enough to go after what you want. Embrace it.

I could make this list as long as a CVS receipt, but I would say the third most important piece of advice is become the person you desire to be now. Start before you’re “ready”. Think new thoughts. Challenge yourself. Uplevel your identity. And don’t wait until everything is “perfect” (PSA: it will never all be “perfect”). Time is passing whether you take action or not. Would you rather spend the time building your dream, or wake up in 10 years in the same place you are now, wondering what that dream would’ve felt like?

What’s been one of your main areas of growth this year?
The biggest area of growth in the last 12 months has been adopting a “delusional” mindset, ie. upgrading what I believe is possible for myself. I have been embodying the identity of the future, most successful version of myself and acting as if I am already her. I make decisions based on how she would think and act, and I’ve placed a lot of emphasis on dropping my ego, investing in opportunities to get me closer to my goal of being famous, and surrounding myself with like-minded people who are also unabashedly going after their own big dreams. It’s wild what this has created for me: greater self-confidence and self-trust, small-group coaching experiences with some of my idols, connections with influential people worldwide, and more clarity on how I want to impact the world. It’s wild to think, but you already have all of the answers inside of you – you just need to have the humility to listen to them and the courage to take action on them.
