Hulises, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.
it all started by writing my name (tag) anywhere
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
My career as a designer is given to the pleasure of being able to write my name everywhere that led me to dedicate myself to design and specialize in lettering but for some time I have focused on branding as it is an area of design in which I can involve the part of the custom type when developing a brand. My work has led me to participate in some festivals and design events and also gave me the opportunity to meet other countries and share with people I love in the world of design and meet new people with whom I have connected.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Being constant and disciplined was something that helped me a lot to find my way and experimenting is something that I keep doing without having in mind that it is a very interesting process to design and through that I have found many good and bad results. Being perseverant day by day is something that influences a lot in your work. Sometimes the impostor syndrome can betray you, but the important thing is that you take your time and do another type of activity and then resume it with a lot of energy.
Who has been most helpful in helping you overcome challenges or build and develop the essential skills, qualities or knowledge you needed to be successful?
Being able to relate to people I feel that I have been able to take my work to other places and that more people can see it, as well as people I admired when I started and then those people become your friends, now thanks to the internet we can meet many people who inspire us or that we can work together is easier. Being yourself in any situation or group of friends is the key and being able to share everything I have learned I feel it takes you to other places, that’s what it’s all about sharing and being grateful.
