Meet Brandon Kent

We recently connected with Brandon Kent and have shared our conversation below.

Brandon, looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?
I believe I get my work ethic from my mother, knowing the importance behind growth and holding yourself to a higher standard will make being consistent easy.

Always looking for areas to grow leaves me never to feel comfortable with my progress. Grateful for the journey but determined to excel in who I know I can be

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
My name is Brandon Kent, im originally from Yonkers, NY and I currently reside in Atlanta, GA. I’m a professional choreographer and I’ve been dancing professionally for 16 years now.

Hip hop was the first style I fell in love with and I began dancing in hip hop based off of cool movies and YouTube videos. I went 10+ years with no professional training.. just a kid with a dream.

I feel most exciting about continuing my leadership in the dance community. Being a positive impact for others to elevate his/her journey as a dancer.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Three qualities that I keep my focus on is:

Confidence
Trustworthy
Patient

I believe being patient brings so much peace to the mind in many situations that could lead you into being confident in the areas you are called to be confident and trustworthy to the things and people that are willing to present you as someone that can be trustworthy

Alright so to wrap up, who deserves credit for helping you overcome challenges or build some of the essential skills you’ve needed?
My mother was/is/always will be the person that made me who I am today, regarding my character, who I am as a man, and a choreographer.

She poured into me everything I need to know in order to be a leader that knows how to lead a lost world.
