Meet Victoria Antoine

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Victoria Antoine a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Victoria , looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?
I am a first generation American. This birthright has come with its own set of obstacles; I feel as though I started from the ground up. To me this is a blessing more than a hindrance. Growing up I didn’t have a large network of people I was around. I always kept to myself and was heavily influenced by my mother and older siblings! Watching my family strive for greatness and to overcome generational curses instilled me with the work ethic I have now as a very small child. For instance, my mother always worked very hard to provide for myself and my siblings. She always taught me that if I work hard I could do anything I put my mind to. I am a reflection of my upbringing’.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
My independent beauty brand Galaxy Beauty by Victoria, was launched in July of 2019. My fascination with makeup began at an early age! I remember when I was younger I used to be so obsessed with my mother, her process of doing makeup & her overall beauty routine. As I grew into a young woman I began to develop these routines of my own! Throughout my life makeup has always remained a pillar and true passion. I have always felt makeup truly is a universal joy. Makeup unites people from many different walks of life. The creative process and transformation it entails are the true essence of this joy. Galaxy Beauty by Victoria is a female owned business! We are dedicated to the upliftment and empowerment of all. One very special element of my brand is my beauty & wellness blog. Writing is also a passion of mine and my 𝓰𝓸𝓭 𝓰𝓲𝓿𝓮𝓷 𝓽𝓪𝓵𝓮𝓷𝓽. On my website I have a FREE Beauty/Wellness blog, filled with the hottest makeup trends, beauty secrets, DIY’s & more. It feels so amazing creating evergreen knowledge/content for the consumption of others. For instance our most recent post “Winter Wellness” is a free guide, detailing easy and cost effective ways to stay healthy & happy during the colder months.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
For me, it’s essential for entrepreneurs and creators to accept constructive criticism. Although it’s not always the best ego booster, we can all learn much from the citations of others. Never take criticisms to heart; be willing to listen! There is so much to learn. Maintain flexibility. Become adaptable to new situations. Life is a roller coaster and it’s no different when operating a small bussiness. To win you’ll need to establish a stable baseline between both (highs and lows). Above all believe in yourself . When you believe in yourself, and confidently walk in your truth, others will follow suit. Manifest your vision and turn your dreams into your reality. Nothing is impossible to a child of GOD!

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
I am always on the prowl for creators and like minded men and women to collaborate with. I love working with my fellow beauty gurus and entrepreneurs. On my website galaxybeauty.co I have a blog where I’ve featured and interviewed various local small bussiness, models, mua’s, writers etc. The best way to reach me is via email: [email protected]
