Meet Jennifer Wiley

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Jennifer Wiley. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Jennifer below.

Jennifer , we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?
After going through disappointment countless times, there comes a point where you just say, “Enough is enough.”

You keep pushing forward, leaving that disappointment behind. Despite going through a tough childhood through foster care, not being raised under a two-parent household, or not having a lot of knowledge of my own family, I consciously made the decision to keep moving forward.

These challenges, actually, helped build my confidence by testing my resilience. After even starting college at this stage of life? Well, that’s just another hurdle that needs to be overcome. You’ve been through so much and triumphed over numerous obstacles.

Sure, I could easily list twenty things that didn’t work out, but what truly matters is the strength you’ve shown, and to have the discipline to keep moving forward to help me feel more confident and has helped my self-esteem.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I’m here to help people rebuild, make tough decisions, and find resources. Whether it’s providing Mental Health Coaching Services for Individuals, Families, or Married Partners, I’m all about empowering emotional well-being for survivors of sexual assault and the LGTBQIA+ community.

You know what I love? Helping people find the resources they need, even the ones they couldn’t find on their own. I’m all about holistic support – financially, emotionally, physically, and connecting LGBTQ individuals with the right resources. I also help human trafficking victims transition into new homes. There’s this amazing non-profit called “She’s Still Missing” that I work with to create safe spaces for human trafficking victims.

Seeing that light bulb moment when I know I’ve really reached someone really excites me. I have conversations with people that others don’t see. That’s why my brand is all about catering to those who have been turned away by others, but let me make it clear, I’m still a brand for everyone. I stand firm in the belief that love is the most important thing anyone needs, and hey, I don’t discriminate against anyone. Love is love!

My job is me choosing it instead of it being forced upon me. When people are going through tough times, I remind them of the challenges they’ve faced in the past, the ones they were made to do. You just gotta remember. It gives you that pep in your step, the boost you need to tackle the task at hand.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Being a successful entrepreneur requires resilience, patience, and determination. Receiving No’s along the way shouldn’t discourage you. Instead, use them as opportunities to learn and grow. Patience is key in this journey, as mistakes are inevitable. But remember, you can always pick up where you left off and continue moving forward. The hustle is constant, but it’s worth it when you can turn your passion into a rewarding career. My business is not just work or a job; it’s a fulfilling pursuit.

Looking back over the past 12 months or so, what do you think has been your biggest area of improvement or growth?
The biggest area of growth I’ve experienced over the past year is expanding my team. I am actively bringing onboard additional individuals, resources, and services to better serve my clients. Some of the partners who support in the areas of family retirement planning, bakery items, life transformational coaching, physical therapy, coaching for people with intellectual disabilities and young adult life transitions.

This growth is particularly significant as I am anticipating a surge in requests, aiming to add ten more team members by July. Excitingly, I am also launching a podcast called “Different Perspectivez”, where I will be interviewing my new partners. Together, we will delve into meaningful discussions about current events and emerging trends.
