Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Tiandra Robinson. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
firstName}, thank you so much for agreeing to talk with us about a deeply personal and sensitive topic. Postpartum depression affects so many in the community and hearing from someone who has overcome PPD might help someone who is going through it right now. For readers, please note this is not medical advice, we are not doctors, you should always consult professionals for advice and that this is merely one person sharing their story and experience
I had PPD with both kids, and though it was mild or what they call The Baby Blues, it was still a very rough time. I was so thankful and blessed to have a partner who was understanding, patient, and helpful. It was his support and comfort that got me through.
Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Reflecting on my experience working with black-owned businesses in marketing, three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge stood out as most impactful: Dependability: Dependability is crucial in any professional setting, but especially so when working with small businesses where every action can have a significant impact. Being dependable means consistently delivering on promises, meeting deadlines, and providing reliable support to clients.
Perseverance: Marketing, particularly for small businesses, often involves navigating challenges and setbacks. Perseverance is the ability to persist in the face of obstacles, setbacks, and failures.
Determination: Determination is the driving force behind achieving long-term success. It’s the unwavering commitment to seeing projects through to completion and achieving desired outcomes. Determination involves setting ambitious goals, maintaining focus, and taking decisive action to pursue those goals relentlessly.
Set Clear Goals: Establish clear, measurable goals for your marketing efforts and commit to achieving them.
Develop Resilience: Recognize that setbacks and failures are inevitable in any journey. Instead of letting them deter you, view them as opportunities for growth and learning.
Stay Committed: Building a successful marketing career requires dedication and persistence. Stay committed to your goals, even when progress seems slow or obstacles arise.
Is there a particular challenge you are currently facing?
My current challenge revolves around securing funding for my business to facilitate its growth, with the ultimate goal of transitioning to full-time operation. Additionally, maintaining consistency in client acquisition presents another significant hurdle.
