Meet Sarah Manza

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Sarah Manza. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Sarah, thank you so much for joining us. You are such a positive person and it’s something we really admire and so we wanted to start by asking you where you think your optimism comes from?
It has to be the love and support that I get from the people around me. Everyday I’m surrounded by positivity and love and it boosts my drive and my motivation and my optimism.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I am a photographer! I work primarily within Broward and Miami, and I do a mixture of things. I shoot weddings, concerts, parties, portraits, and everything in between.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Skills you definitely need to have to get started, especially in concert or wedding photography, is to talk talk talk nonstop. Word of mouth is the best way to get yourself out there, and the best way to gain clientele. It’s also important to just go for things, even if you’re worried you’re not ready. With anything in life, you may never feel ready, but the best thing you can do is to go for it.

All the wisdom you’ve shared today is sincerely appreciated. Before we go, can you tell us about the main challenge you are currently facing?
Biggest challenge is balancing school life, work life, and show life. I spend so much time working and in school that I hardly have time to go out and get gigs or shoot at shows. I’ve been trying to balance it all out, and get to at least one show a month, until I’m able to dedicate more time to photography.
