Meet Alicia Hudson

We recently connected with Alicia Hudson and have shared our conversation below.

Alicia , we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.
Throughout the years I have come to realise that if you follow your joy, you will always end up where you need to be. I don’t see purpose as just one single thing but more as a multifaceted experience that we all want to be as fulfilling and as rewarding as possible- not just in a monetary sense but emotionally and mentally rewarding, something that lights you up. I have always given myself the opportunity to explore the things that brought me joy and see where they lead me. For years I have spend studying different topics that interest me, started different successful businesses and moved to different countries ( my recent move being from Canada to the United Kingdom).
And even though i have had different job titles in my life – the underlying theme to finding them is always joy- what brings you joy in this specific phase in your life? Do that. And if that changes- adjust accordingly.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I am an Akashic Records Reader and Spiritual Mentor. Through my work I help people find back to themselves, hone in on their strengths and gifts, rediscover their soul purpose and nourish their own inner guidance. Life has a funny way of making us forget who we are and the power and strength we hold to create a life that truly feels nourishing and aligned so I teach people how to use their intuition and their Akashic Records to reconnect with themselves on a soul level to do exactly that.
The people I work with are incredible individuals from all walks of life and backgrounds who want to take control of their life and want to create the most successful outcome in all aspects of their life.
Holding space for people on their journey, guiding and supporting them has been something I am incredibly grateful for.

If you are unfamiliar with the Akashic Records: Reading the Akashic Records is a modality like no other. As an Akashic Reader you tap into a data base of everything that has ever been, everything that is and ever will be. See it as an infinite metaphysical library or data base( similar to google). Everything is stored there- from your pre-incarnation mission statements, your past life experiences, soul contracts with others, lessons and challenges along your journey and how to overcome them, creative projects that are available for you to bring into this world and so much more. I truly believe it is the one modality that will absolutely change your life. And the best thing is: everyone can learn to read the Akashic Records.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
I would say definitely self development , intuitive study and optimism.

Since we are children we are put into boxes and given labels and depending on our family background we might even have some limiting beliefs and programming that follow us around way into our adult years affecting the way we live our life and the actions we take or for that matter – don’t take. One of the best things I did in my life was uncovering who I am before the world told me who to be. Start with books and journals, begin a meditative or intuitive practice, attend small workshops or mindset classes in your area. Every small thing you do will have a huge impact.

Intuitive study is another thing. Many of us are born highly intuitive and we often get a bit overwhelmed with this in our younger years so we close off our senses and try really hard to fit in for the rest of our life because we are simply scared of the unknown and being perceived as different. I remember taking my first formal training in Energy Healing and Mediumship and being absolutely mind blown by the experience- not only because I got to witness a room full of people like me embracing their intuitive skills but because all my experiences were validated and explained. This is one of the reasons why I offer a private group for students of my Akashic Training to share their experiences, ask questions and practice with each other. Intuitive study with community can be such a healing and elevating experience .
My advice for anyone who is looking to develop their skills or who is even just curious about the topic : attend workshops, read books, learn from a bunch of different teachers and take what resonates with you.

I feel no matter what your journey is: if you want to be a reader or an artist or a business owner -you have to keep optimism and unwavering faith in yourself. We can be so hard on ourselves and thinking of worst case scenario or what if things don’t work out. The truth is- you have a dream for a reason. If you weren’t meant to do it you wouldn’t have that dream. Next time you think: What if it doesn’t work out? -change it to : “What if it does? ”
If you follow your dreams and keep an optimistic outlook you’ll go further than just never attempting that journey at all.

My favourite mindset hack here is to actually take a moment and imagine myself being like 94 years old and looking back at my life thinking what would I tell myself? Would I tell myself to go for it? To try it? To do my best and stop worrying? Ya I would. I wouldn’t want to limit myself in this life.

Any advice for folks feeling overwhelmed?
This is still something I am learning to be honest. In the past year I have moved from Canada to the Uk and it was a big adjustment from getting settled to life in a different country, overcoming homesickness all while starting my business in the Uk. So the main strategy that has worked for me through that time was to make sure that I always fill my cup and don’t operate on empty. For me that means I have a list of non-negotiables which are things that I do that fill up my cup and make me feel more grounded and centered so that even if life happens – it doesn’t completely overwhelm me. For me these things are daily time in nature where I get to relax and unplug, plenty of rest, taking the time to do. a skincare routine at night, watching something on Netflix as well as every few weeks exploring a museum or a new bookstore or a new town in the beautiful english countryside. Your list might be completely different but I recommend for everyone to have one with a few things that fill your cup. Oh and if you work with social media or on social media- have all your notifications off.
