Meet Ansley Marshall

We recently connected with Ansley Marshall and have shared our conversation below.

Ansley, so great to have you with us and thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts with the community. So, let’s jump into something that stops so many people from going after their dreams – haters, nay-sayers, etc. We’d love to hear about how you dealt with that and persisted on your path.
Regardless of how well you are doing, there will always be someone that has something negative to say or think about you. I do not have the time or motivation to spend on the “haters” or nay-sayers, when I have a business to run. I have clients that depend on me – and are paying me to get the job done right. I devote my time to the ones that are paying me, and not the ones that don’t have any positive impact on my business.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
After being a stay at home mom for many years, I decided to take the leap and become a licensed real estate agent. Becoming a realtor has been a blessing not only for me, but for my family as well. I have been able to build my business while still being able to focus on being a wife and mother. I have built my business around service – not just real estate services though. I enjoy participating in community service projects and I am very involved with my daughter’s school and her athletics. I have always enjoyed being able to help and support others, and bringing that mindset into my business plan has made my real estate business so successful.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Patience, perseverance, and courage are three of the most impactful qualities that come to mind when I think about my journey in real estate so far. My advice to those that are just starting in their real estate career is to have patience – with both yourself and others. Also exercising perseverance every single day, because being in real estate is going to require them to be persistent despite difficulties or delays that they may encounter. Having courage is easier said than done. In this career you will be required to step out of your comfort zone in order to be successful.

Is there a particular challenge you are currently facing?
One of the biggest obstacles is that there are so many real estate agents out there to compete with. This isn’t a new obstacle, and it will probably always be a common one among all agents, but by being involved in community service efforts and staying in front of as many people as possible, I am able to provide my real estate services to someone as soon as the need arises. I try to be the first person that someone thinks of when they, or someone they know, needs help with anything real estate related.
