Meet Kaiya Webb-Ramseur

We were lucky to catch up with Kaiya Webb-Ramseur recently and have shared our conversation below.

Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have Kaiya with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?
I get my work ethic from my parents. My father came to America from Jamaica for a better life and has owned businesses and learned new skills to thrive and live. My mother is very creative and has turned her talents into skills to make money. They both worked very hard yet smart to get where they are today.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I started my journey 9 years ago creating vegan cosmetics by hand. With new products being created, I branched off and created my own skincare, haircare and body care line to separate the two. With the tight budget I was on to build my brands, I learned how to create my own logos, labels, packaging and more; which in return, turned into a business for me to help others.

Currently, I’m focused on expanding into new places and platforms. I was laid off in 2022 and have been a full time entrepreneur since. My goal is to continue this journey without having to go back to a 9-5.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Three areas of knowledge that were most impactful to me during my journey were:

1. Stay in your own lane/ Never compare your journey to someone else.
2 Ask for help when needed. Don’t struggle on your own.
3. Find a problem, create a product that solves the issue.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
Yes! I’m always open to collaborating with fellow business owners! I love to create gift baskets for holidays and would love to put together some dope baskets to sell across the world with other amazing business owners.

If you’d like to connect to collaborate, please send me an email at kwebbramseur@gmail.com
