Meet Heather Cohen

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Heather Cohen. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Heather below.

Hi Heather, thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?
I grew up with both of my parents working full time. Both of them put in extra time to get things done and accomplished. They did not settle and the bar they set was high.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
As an event planner, I get to know the people I work with very well. Whether it’s vendors or families, I try to understand what excites them and what they will need from me. It’s that relationship that sets me apart.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
I think my social worker education allows for me to really get to know people and help them celebrate in a way that makes them happy. I am also patient and understanding. I am also task oriented and like to keep things organized and on track.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
I am always looking for vendors who can go above and beyond for families. I enjoy working with people who as passionate as I am.
