Hi Char, thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?
My work ethic stems from a combination of factors. Firstly, I was raised in a family where hard work and dedication were emphasized and rewarded. I’ve always been driven by personal values such as integrity, excellence, and accountability, which translate into a strong work ethic in any endeavor I pursue. Furthermore, I believe in the importance of setting ambitious goals and pushing myself to continuously improve and exceed expectations. My work ethic is deeply rooted in both my upbringing and my personal values, driving me to consistently strive for excellence in everything I do.

As a licensed esthetician with four years of experience and my own salon, I specialize in lash extensions while also offering a wide range of other esthetic services. What I find most exciting and special about my work is the transformative effect it has on my clients. Whether it’s enhancing their natural beauty with lash extensions or providing rejuvenating skincare treatments, I love helping people feel more confident and radiant in their own skin.
At my salon, I prioritize personalized care and attention to detail, ensuring that each client receives a tailored experience that meets their unique needs and preferences. Beyond lash extensions, I also offer services such as facials, waxing, and brow shaping to provide a comprehensive approach to skincare and beauty. I’ve recently started offering permanent Jewelry .
Furthermore, I’m passionate about mentoring and supporting aspiring estheticians, and I offer training and mentorship programs to help them build successful careers in the beauty industry. Through hands-on experience and personalized guidance, I aim to empower the next generation of estheticians to achieve their goals and excel in their craft.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Reflecting on my journey, I believe that three qualities that have been most impactful are listening, organization skills, and time management.
Listening: Actively listening to my clients’ needs and concerns has allowed me to tailor my services to meet their expectations effectively. It’s crucial to listen not only to what clients say but also to their body language and nonverbal cues, enabling me to provide personalized experiences that exceed their expectations.
Organization Skills: Keeping my salon and schedule organized has been essential for running a successful business and maintaining client satisfaction. From appointment scheduling to inventory management, being organized helps me stay on top of tasks and deliver consistent service quality.
Time Management: Effective time management allows me to balance client appointments, administrative tasks, and personal life commitments efficiently. Prioritizing tasks, setting realistic deadlines, and avoiding procrastination are key aspects of time management that have contributed to my success.
By having these qualities and skills, individuals can navigate in life easier. My advice for those early in their journey is to practice active listening in every interaction, be open to feedback, and continuously strive to understand and empathize with your clients’ perspectives. Also, to create a daily or weekly schedule, allocate time for different activities, and learn to say no to tasks that don’t align with their priorities or goals.
Tell us what your ideal client would be like?
An ideal client for me is someone who values the expertise and personalized care that I provide as an esthetician. They are also respectful of appointment times and salon policies, which helps create a positive and harmonious client-esthetician relationship. Additionally, ideal clients appreciate the importance of regular skincare/lash maintenance and are committed to following recommended skincare routines and treatments to achieve their desired results. Ultimately, an ideal client is someone who trusts my expertise, respects the salon environment, and can communicate all their needs and hopefully I can provide them with an excellent service to keep them coming back .
