Meet Veronica LaVery

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Veronica LaVery. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Veronica below.

Veronica, we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?
Whenever you overcome anything difficult in life and see your capabilities and character, it shows you how strong you are and how you can get through literally anything. Talking to yourself in a mirror and telling it how beautiful you look is one thing but really seeing how you get from a bottom to a better place step by step and see the growth in yourself as a person is something that continues to build me up. I came to this country with nothing, no knowledge of English, no knowledge of living in another continent, no money, no friends, broken family and I was a teenager that didn’t even know herself.. I battled my demons, got over loosing loved ones and found myself and the strength within me through all of that. Just like pressure creates a diamond, it can make or break a person and only weak minds fall into that trap. Let life challenge you, it does it for a reason! I’m grateful for every challenge I’ve been through because it made me who I am and continues to level me up and gives me the confidence I have.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I’ve been a professional model since 19yo, traveling the world and working independently, when magazines used to be “the thing” I’ve had numerous covers all over the world, starred in movies and built popular social media as well as a YouTube channel. Besides modeling I’m also a Realtor , currently in Florida where I received my awards in the Real Estate industry and continue to pursue it.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Persistence, Patience & Hard work.. Nothing good in life comes easy and if it does you should be questioning it. Not that miracles don’t happen but you gotta earn it.

Thanks so much for sharing all these insights with us today. Before we go, is there a book that’s played in important role in your development?
Years ago I read “the Untethered Soul” by M. Singer and it’s been the book I recommend to anyone in my circles, eye opening and a must read for developing your personal self awareness.
