Meet Leeon George

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Leeon George a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Leeon , so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?
I was a successful corporate attorney at 25 years old and extremely unfulfilled. I decided that after following all the rules to success (going to school, getting good grades and getting a job) and still being unhappy that it was time to take matters into my own hands. So I embarked in the world of personal development. I read Jump by Steve Harvey and decided that for me to truly live a life filled with abundance, I needed to be willing to take a leap of faith so I did. I launched my first business – a marketing agency where I helped coaches and service providers create content on social media so they can boost their online sales. I realized at that moment that I was truly happy making a difference to the world and economy and truly changing lives.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
What I love most about what I do is that many persons just like I did, have amazing skills and no clue how to Monetize it. So inside of my coaching program I help them package their skills into a paid coaching program and create content to attract dream clients in their business. This results in my clients having consistent online sales in their business. To find out more about my Coaching program: https://thecontentmagnet.co/coaching/

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Research – before launching The Content Magnet, I got clear on what my strengths were and communication kept coming up. I then conducted research on what industries needed a strong communicator and the problems that people are facing currently. This was 2019 so pre-pandemic I anticipated that businesses would want to grow their online presence and when the pandemic came around I was high in demand and booked out quickly.

Resilience – I spent the first few months in the trenches, not getting as many sales as I anticipated and really being open to trying new things. So I explored, picked myself up month after month until I figured out what worked.

Consistency – I remained consistent with my own online presence and prioritised consistency for my clients also. Behind the scenes I was consistently improving the feel and experience of my own brand and ensuring that all interactions felt like a premium experience.

What was the most impactful thing your parents did for you?
My mom passed in March 2020 and one of the most impactful things she did for me is instill out of the world confidence. I remember carrying my huge laptop to the hospital when I would visit her for the entire day as I now started my business. She kept repeating to me ‘Leeon, you will make it!’ This echoed to me after her passing, I didn’t know how but I knew I was find success with my business and any venture I decided to pursue.
