Brittany, thanks for taking the time to share your lessons with our community today. So, let’s jump right in – one of the most essential skills for unlocking our potential is self-discipline. Where does your self-discipline come from?
Self – discipline is an action that requires a strong mindset to overcome struggles and succeed to the next level. My self-discipline came from a single mother who worked hard to raise her children’. My self discipline come from being involved in a head in collison and rollover 3 times as God covers you and your grandmother. Self- discipline is a having faith and trusting God to provide while you return to Strayer to recieve your Bachelor’s in Business Administration. Self- discipline is my faith to rise above the normal.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
RAW Boutique49 are my spiritual birth children that enlighten my purpose. RAW Boutique49 is an women empowerment boutique that reminds all women of color that you are beautiful. Every scar demonstrates how you succeed to achieve your goals. We have luxurious women fashion and accessories . In addition, we provide custom services such as bejeweled phone case and beaded apple watch bands.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Determination, self-discipline, and college education were the most impactful aspects in the journey. As a small business owner, you should write your business plan and set goals to improve journey. Sometimes you must train yourself to develop better days with prioritizing your time.

Before we go, maybe you can tell us a bit about your parents and what you feel was the most impactful thing they did for you?
My parents taught me that you can achieve your dreams through anything. Parents shared their experiences as children and adults that express their love for me. My mother recently graduate from FSCJ with Bachelor. My father currently volunteers with the Valdosta Police Department and drive trucks. Today, their accomplishments demonstrate that you can be anything in life.
