Meet Dominique Mitchell

We recently connected with Dominique Mitchell and have shared our conversation below.

Dominique , we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?
I get my resilience from my mother and father.. Watching my mom hustle and never give up despite not so favorable circumstances definitely was a key part of my early programming.. When i lived with my father he would always talk to me about how important the fourth quarter was.. as a teenager this only related to football.. I amm now 31 and i understand now the programming that he was doing, and i believe it to be intentional so I am grateful for that

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
What i do is simple, but it is not easy.. I create! There is no limit to what i mean what i use the word create.. From music, to NFTs, comics, Metaverse parties, Recording studios, interior design, custom cars.. I have inadvertently done all of these things and found a way to generate income doing so… My main focuses are music, and NFTs. what i find most special about what i do is the personal growth that comes from creating.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
the most important thing for me is a winners mentality.. which to me means finding a way to get it done when you dont clearly see one. The will to never give up or feel bad for yourself, NO EXCUSES! i mean i could go on and on but those are the basics

Next I’d say discipline.. discipline is the cornerstone of success. This has played a major part in my journey because I know when i don,t feel like doing something is for my better I know that on the other side of that feeling is growth and the vehicle that gets me there is discipline

Learning from loses.. I use the word loses loosley.. In the moment when things do not go your way this can easily be counted as a lost. What i like to do is reflect on the moment and detach myself fro whatever the situation may be. This gives me me a better perspective and allows me to really learn from what happened in order to get a different outcome in the future

Before we go, maybe you can tell us a bit about your parents and what you feel was the most impactful thing they did for you?
the most impactful thing my mom did for me was show me by example her relentless drive and dedication to a cause. My father taught me through conversations and exmples how to aim and focus those things for maximum results
