Hi Anna, we’re so appreciative of you taking the time to share your nuggets of wisdom with our community. One of the topics we think is most important for folks looking to level up their lives is building up their self-confidence and self-esteem. Can you share how you developed your confidence?
Well, for me building confidence comes from taking risks and facing fears. I believe that taking significant risks often comes with great opportunities; taking chances is necessary if you strive for more and want to make the most of your life. Being an immigrant, I never expected to grow so much, and I am still amazed by the support I receive daily. I am happy to be able to fulfill my mission as a musical artist and, at the same time, to become a successful business owner of the piano school in Los Angeles. This would never have happened if I hadn’t taken a risk, stayed in my comfort zone, and kept finding excuses. Fear of failure is a powerful emotion; even when we may cognitively know that the fear is irrational, it can easily shake our confidence. Getting to know our fears is the first step in overcoming them and also in becoming more confident and sure of ourselves. Every challenge provides learning opportunities and unique experiences that eventually help break boundaries in any field you choose. Don’t be afraid of your dreams, set big goals, work hard, and move forward no matter what, as a fear of failure is a great excuse to stay in a comfort zone. I can assure you that once you overcome any challenges, you will not only achieve a breakthrough in the field of your choice but also make a significant impact on the lives of others. Also, don’t feel shy to celebrate your accomplishments. The more you recognize the wins in life, the more you cultivate a sense of pride and confidence in yourself. Take some time to reflect on what you are proud of and remember that small wins are still won.

Being someone with a deep passion for the arts, I’ve always carried a burning desire to create something truly extraordinary – something that would inspire people around me. That ignited the spark for my own entrepreneurial venture.
Elite Piano Institute stands as special piano school dedicated to delivering the highest caliber of music education. We draw inspiration from the illustrious traditions of the Russian piano school, with a primary emphasis on nurturing fundamental knowledge and techniques essential for musical advancement. Our history includes numerous graduates who have received scholarships at prestigious institutions like the Juilliard School, Stanford University, USC, and various others.
Our faculty members hold degrees from renowned music schools in Moscow, and they have also enriched their expertise through studies in the United States. This combination of backgrounds equips us with a well-rounded, multicultural perspective on the world of professional piano performance and career development.
Our team provides lessons for kids starting at the age of 4 and covers levels ranging from intermediate to advanced. We also specialize in piano lessons for adults and offer instruction to pre-college and College level students, consult teachers, and provide classes to adult beginners who want to learn piano to enrich their lives. For students who take piano seriously and aspire to pursue a degree in Music, we help them prepare for performance careers at the highest international level.
Beyond being a leading music school in Los Angeles, we are an educational project that organizes international piano festivals, competitions, master classes, and workshops. This is how Glissando Music and Arts Foundation was born.
We connect people through a variety of artistic genres, art forms, and ideas, building bridges between the past, the present, and the future: showcasing talents, introducing international artists, supporting music entrepreneurs, providing educational advice and feedback, and, most importantly, creating performance opportunities for extraordinary young talents and introducing them to the public. We bring the beauty of classical music and arts to underprivileged communities through education, special programs for kids, free family concerts, and residency activities. Recently, we have just had A big musical project in San Diego – Glissando International Youth Piano Competition. Young talents from all over the world have participated in this beautiful musical event. Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
In reflecting on my journey, I realize that several qualities have truly made a difference: dedication to learning, courage, and optimism. These traits have been key in both my career and personal development, guiding me through life’s challenges with resilience and determination.
Alright so to wrap up, who deserves credit for helping you overcome challenges or build some of the essential skills you’ve needed?
The person who has been most helpful in aiding me to overcome challenges is myself. My self-determination, continuous learning, and resilience have played a pivotal role in my journey towards success. I believe that no one is capable of making you happy, the only person who is truly responsible for your life and success is yourself.
