Meet Christopher Renfro

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Christopher Renfro. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Christopher below.

Christopher, we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?
Dating back to my teens, I had a pretty lonely rough life. Losing family members left and right from old age. I watched my mother die from cancer as a young man and my father pass away from Alzheimer’s 3 years ago. I never felt valued in myself because I have always been fighting fights for other people and putting myself 2nd. I began to notice I didn’t think much of myself, so I decide to make a change. Positive thoughts, surround myself with same positive minded people and started my own business in the middle of covid. I took a huge risk in doing so, I pushed and struggled to make it. now almost 5 years in I can say my confidence has grown to high levels. My self-esteem has grown as well. I see being a positive person and not looking so much at the negative made me grow as a person.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
My business is automation assembly, we work with robotics and all type of processes to assemble mass quantity (millions) of different parts from IV filters to automotive parts to the food industry. You would be surprised how things are made behind closed doors

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Building automation is like creating a puzzle, you design and make every part of the process. I think networking and making yourself available to mentor others is a huge part of our economy and future. The trades are a dying bread, more of the old timers are retiring and there is nobody to replace them. The misconception of today’s youth that college is the only way to be successful and that is not the truth. Trade school can be just as lucrative as college if not more. Welders, HVAC, Machining, pipe fitters, plumbing and so on. are imperative we bring on the youth of today.

All the wisdom you’ve shared today is sincerely appreciated. Before we go, can you tell us about the main challenge you are currently facing?
Politics, the economy is hurting us right now due to the lack of government. Taxes have gone up; inflation has gone up which in turn cost of materials and labor is on the rise. The left and right are too busy demanding who is right than making sure the voters and Americans are doing okay. We need smaller government and remove political parties.
