Meet Veronica camacho

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Veronica Camacho a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Veronica , appreciate you making time for us and sharing your wisdom with the community. So many of us go through similar pain points throughout our journeys and so hearing about how others overcame obstacles can be helpful. One of those struggles is keeping creativity alive despite all the stresses, challenges and problems we might be dealing with. How do you keep your creativity alive?
Keeping Creativity alive requires nurturing and practice. I keep exploring new Idas, concepts, and experiences. I constantly consume a variety of content, including books, movies, music, my travel experiences, and day to day journeys, to fuel inspiration from all these different sources. I’m also a firm believer of taking breaks from work. I allow myself time to rest and recharge to prevent burnout..

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I am a Fashion Stylist/Director, as well as an Image Consultant for the past 20+ years. I advise and manage individuals and companies on how to project a polished and cohesive image that best express their aesthetics. The best and favorite part of my job, is actually seeing my clients feel more confident and empowered through their appearance.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
The three top qualities that were of most impactful in my journey is creativity, attention to detail and interpersonal skills. To explain in Depth;

Creativity, that evolves from having a keen eye for aesthetics and being able to think outside the box to create unique and visually appealing looks.

Precision and attention to detail is crucial for me. I pay super close attention to colors, textures, proportions, and overall aesthetics to ensure that every aspect of my projects work together harmoniously.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills are essential for me to understand my clients preferences, build trust and rapport, and collaborate with photographers, models, designers and other industry professionals. I should be able to provide honest constructive feedback and advise my clients in a supportive manner.

How would you describe your ideal client?
My ideal client is the one that is clear they have hired a professional, no questions asked and complete trust in me and my results. Working with clients that honor my worth and value my ideas and professionalism, speaks volume to me.
