Meet luis porras

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Luis Porras a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Luis, thank you so much for joining us. You are such a positive person and it’s something we really admire and so we wanted to start by asking you where you think your optimism comes from?

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
My name is Luijo, i am a musician and singer since i was very young, i started playing music with around 11 years old and formed a band with 13, since that moment i knew that was my scene, anything that has to do with creation, through the band i met the visual world and also fell in love with it, started to produce little iphone movies until i bought my first camera and started directing shortfilms, music videos and commercials for clients or for my own content, i moved to NYC in 2021 and started putting out new music in 2022 under the name of L-Punk, the first release single was “El Sillon” track that i had the pleasure to also produce a music video and it had crazy good reception, i´ve released 4 singles since then and i am currently working on my debut album, meanwhile i´ve been playing my songs live in numerous venues of New York City with a new Band with friends here, i am very excited about what future is going to bring but honestly i am already living my dreams, living in my favorite city, playing music with my friends and working towards my dreams every day

As we end our chat, is there a book you can leave people with that’s been meaningful to you and your development?
War of Art by steven pressfield is definitely a piece of literature that has led me through the right creative path and also understand more of our way to live life as creatives, i highly recommend this even more for those who like me struggle with things like procrastination and creative anxiety
