Meet Aliya Minter

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Aliya Minter . We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Aliya below.

Aliya , we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.
I found my purpose during a time when many people lost their lives and like me lost many loved ones…COVID. COVID not only helped me to rediscover my purpose (I’ve known what it was since I was in Kindergarten) but it gave me the courage to walk in it.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I have always had a desire to entertain. Being an actress, my greatest passion, has been a dream of mine since I was a little girl. When I got pregnant with my oldest daughter I thought my dreams would have to take a backseat until she moved out LOL. Then after years of struggling with infertility, I was blessed to birth THREE MORE young ladies! All girls!! Surely I would never have an opportunity to follow my dreams with my youngest and my oldest being 20 years apart. Then Covid hit. Close friends died, close family died and something died in me…FEAR! For the first time in my life I really understood the old saying “Life is Short”. I knew that if I was going to do this, I had to do it now. But how would I do it having three little children ? We would do it together! As a family. My husband and our four girls began acting all over the place. Life had begun for me and I had five amazing people to share it with. I pulled my school aged children out of traditional school and we begun traveling and homeschooling on the road, all while booking acting gigs all over.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
I would say Prayer, Faith, and Determination. Pray that God will lead you, have faith that it’s already done and be determined to succeed regardless of what obstacles come your way.

Evaluate your circle. Make sure you are surrounding yourself with like minded people and always be open to learn! I learn so much more from my girls than I could ever teach them. I am so grateful that they are taking this journey with me.

What was the most impactful thing your parents did for you?
My parents taught me how to stand up for myself and not back down from a fight. This has been so helpful with me raising girls. I make sure to let them know that they can do ANYTHING and nobody but God can stop them.
