Hi Amber, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?
Hello, my purpose was initially discovered when I became a teenager. During my teenage years, I had revolving desires for hair extensions, eyelashes, makeup and anything else that enhances your beauty look. I would go to Mary Kay beauty parties on the weekends with friends, to learn more about make up, skincare and how to become a professional beauty consultant. I would also go to my favorite beauty stores, which were Ulta and Sephora to buy foundation, eyeshadow, concealer and other beauty products that their stores would have. Sometimes, I would even pay for professional makeup artists in Sephora to do my makeup because I was obsessed how makeup enhanced your overall beauty appearance. Entering into my adult years, my passion for all things beauty began to grow and intensify even the more. It wasn’t until I reached my mid-twenties that God gave me the grace to start my own beauty line, which today is known as Graced 4 Beauty Collection, LLC. Giving birth to this beauty collection was not only confirmation; but assurance from God that this was a part of my purpose and God-given destiny to serve, cater and contribute to the beauty industry here on earth.
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
Hello everyone! My name is Amber Brown, and I am a Business Beauty Consultant that promotes and specializes in wig and natural hair care maintenance, eyelashes, makeup and skincare to enhance hair growth, flawless makeup, clear and healthy skin care for women. The most exciting part about being a Beauty Consultant and having a passion for beauty and skincare is educating women about the importance of these specialties. I strongly believe when women come into the knowledge that they need to maintain and sustain healthy hair, skin and beauty care; is like winning the lottery. I am a firm believer in Jesus Christ and the Bible clearly addresses in the scripture of Hosea 4:6 that “My people are destroyed for a lack of knowledge”. This means that people endure great suffering because they do not have the keys of wisdom, knowledge and understanding to conquer what’s hindering their future and present circumstances. In the summer of 2023, I am excited to announce that we will be launching a new skincare facial line to provide women with a sufficient and rejuvenated, daily skincare routine. Our beauty collection will be expanding to a new make-up line, this upcoming fall where we will be providing essential makeup products for women to conduct their daily beauty and makeup routines.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Looking back, three qualities and or skills that have been most impactful in my business journey, have been the following: Praying Consistently, enrolling in an effective Business Mentorship program, and developing Unmovable Faith. The best advice that I have to offer to new business owners is to step out on faith on whatever vision that has been instilled in their hearts. Growing as a new entrepreneur, I always instilled this bible scripture in my heart. This scripture is James 2:26, which states “Faith without works is dead”. I personally learned that I could have faith all day but if I don’t put in the work, my works do not exist. Another advice that I strongly recommend is enrolling in business mentorship. The reason that I recommend mentorship is because as an emerging entrepreneur, you can view things in one way but someone that’s more advanced in entrepreneurship can see things in multiple ways. During my season of business mentorship, I learned how to properly and professionally position my business for success. My mentor foreseen greater avenues of success that I was embarking upon, and she stressed the importance of my business posture. At the end of my mentorship program, my perspective of my business increased. I was more knowledgeable about my products; I knew how to create effective content and I knew how to engage my audience in the content that I was creating. I pray that these qualities and skills will bless existing and emerging entrepreneurs in the present and near future.
