We were lucky to catch up with Christine Black recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have Christine with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?
I get my work ethic from my mother. She has always taught me if I want something go for it, no matter the circumstances. Watching her as I grew up go to work no matter how she felt and what she was going through, she made sure that she took care of her family. No matter the obstacles she, she pushed through and always kept going.
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I am a radio personality, where I focused on bringing small business owners exposure and artist. Streetz 99.3 Radio station has led me to work with people all around the Untied States. Since their platform is all digital, I am able to provide promotion to people from any and everywhere! I have attended events in Atlanta, Los Angeles, Cincinnati, Birmingham, Miami, Louisville, and more. As I continue to grown, I want to expand to become a TV personality and attend more Red Carpet events everywhere, even overseas. I want to eventually have my own talk show and become the next mixture of Oprah/Jimmy Kimmel/Tamron Hall. I feel I have all of their personalities and can bring a great energy to television. I love talking and networking people and love being in the entertainment industry.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
The three qualities that were impactful in my journey is attending Tennessee State University, understanding constructive criticism, and learning. Attending TSU helped me network with a lot students from across the country and they have brought me opportunities to get to where I am at today. The best advice I can give to anyone is take constructive criticism and learn each and every day. No matter how old you get there is something you can always work on and learn.
Before we go, maybe you can tell us a bit about your parents and what you feel was the most impactful thing they did for you?
The most impactful thing my parents have done for me to is to always tell me to keep pushing no matter what! Their support is undeniable and I wouldn’t be the person I am today, If it wasn’t for them. Without their support, I don’t know where I would be without them!
