Meet Mary Tadros

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Mary Tadros. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Mary below.

Mary, we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?
I have been in USA for 14 years now… However, I am a simple girl that was born in Zambia… I lived most of my life in Egypt… I remember always having a dream to go to Harvard… However, living in a third world county , it was almost impossible. When I was 13 years old, i went to a vacation to Boston with my family and a family friend invited me to go over and attend a class in Harvard… It was the first week of classes and anyone could go in lecture halls and test which professor and which subject they are interested in. I did that. and I was amazed… I told myself: “Mary one day you will graduate from Harvard”…. 20 years later this dream became true. all by the grace of God and the support of my family. Now I have my Masters in Finance from Harvard along with two Professional Graduate Level Certifications: One in Data Analytics and one in Corporate Finance. I was awarded Dean’s List of Academic Achievement. I guess Resilience is just my way to tell the world: You can do anything and that “with God all things are possible.” (Matthew 19:26).

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
We offer Business Consultation in a whole new way. We have specific expertise in : Virtual CFO (Chief Financial Officer) Services as well as Marketing Strategizing and Implementation. My passion is to lift the burden off of the CEO of figuring out how to grow the business. Business Owners are already juggling a million issues daily and need this relief of the financial consultation that we bring to analyze how to increase the profitability of the company. We do extensive calculations and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) to assist in improving the business’ operations, alongside increasing the customer base. Anything from Market Research to competitive and SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, & Threats) analysis is where our expertise shows.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Resilience, Persistence, and Visionary are the three skills that have impacted me the most in my journey. Resilience is simply telling the world: “Embrace failures just as passionately as you would celebrate successes”. The world we live in is not all roses, but only those who overcome setbacks are those who make it… Persistence is hard work and dedication that is unstoppable in pursuing your goals… Visionary is this belief that “Yes, you can do it”. Being a visionary comes along with having great faith in the possibility of your success. I always say “The sky is the your limit so JUMP AS HIGH AS YOU CAN”. My advice to others is: 1. Surround yourself with the right people. You need a passionate and compassionate group to be involved with. You need people who are hardworking and believe in a brighter future. 2. Believe in yourself earlier rather than later. Sometimes, we need certain validations to believe in what we can do… Please, try to come to this ultimate confidence in what you can do as early as you can. Once you believe in yourself, everything is possible. 3. Keep your faith along the way: Always remember: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” (Phillipians 4:13).

Before we go, maybe you can tell us a bit about your parents and what you feel was the most impactful thing they did for you?
They portrayed success. My parents are people who fear God. They served in the Church with all their hearts. In addition, they were great business people. They had the right mind to open their own business and make it successful despite any challenges. They managed their time very wisely for their family, work, church and many other things. To me the most impactful thing they did to me is that they portrayed success. I remember little things that had huge impacts on my personality. For example, getting me to play the piano and the guitar was one of the things I always mention to my mom to this day: It formed my personality and helped me to cope gracefully with many difficulties in my life.
