Alex, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?
Hello sweet friends, my name is Alex Cromwell. I am the Owner and Events Director of ANC Coordinations. However, this crazy but amazing life and dream job that I heve been blessed with was not always the case. Let’s rewind a few years back and paint the full picture.

My professional background is actually in medical laboratory logistics, a field that, from the outside looking in, appeared to be thriving for me. I managed several teams over multiple testing sites prior to and during the pandemic, working 80+ hours per week within an industry that significantly amplified due to testing demand. Ironically enough, my mental escape during those stressful times was found in the planning of my own wedding….I know for most people, this sounds like the opposite of an escape, but what can I say, planners brains are wired a bit differently. 😅

I fell head over heels in love with all things weddings and events. It became my sanctuary, a place for creativity and organization within all the chorus. As I delved deeper into the intricacies of event planning, I couldn’t help but notice the parallels between this newfound passion and my logistics background. It was a clear sign that a career change was calling my name.

A few months later, I founded ANC Coordinations, a venture that would soon become the turning point in my professional journey. The transition wasn’t without its challenges. Leaving a secure job in a completely different industry, especially one in such a critical field during the pandemic, raised eyebrows and uncertainties. However, my unwavering passion for helping others celebrate their special moments fueled my determination.
As ANC Coordinations flourished, I encountered various challenges, from navigating the intricacies of the wedding industry to establishing a reputable brand. Each obstacle became an opportunity for growth and learning. I sought out mentors, attended industry conferences, and tirelessly worked to refine my craft.
What sets ANC Coordinations apart is our commitment to personalized service. Our team specializes in full-service wedding planning, month-of coordination, and on-site event logistics. Beyond weddings, we extend our expertise to parties, networking functions, and community outreach events. Every package is meticulously crafted to meet the unique needs of our clients.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
To provide some additional details about myself, as mentioned, my name is Alex, and I am the owner and Events director at ANC Coordinations.

I am not just a wedding planner; I am a lover of Jesus ✝️, iced coffee🧋, 90s country music🎶, as well as celebratory champagne🥂. Beyond my professional role, I am also an proud Aunty, Dog Mom, Business owner, and Wife to my best friend and high school sweetheart💍.

I am a firm believer in understanding one’s personality characteristics. As an enneagram 2, wing 3 (2 being a Helper and 3 an Achiever), I find great joy in seeing people happy and possess a heartfelt desire to serve. With a background in logistics management, problem-solving has become somewhat of a superpower for me 🦸‍♀️ I am deeply goal-driven, and find great satisfaction in successfully completing tasks.

I hate sitting still and am always on the move. A chronic over-packer and over-thinker, I thrive on being prepared for every situation, armed with a checklist, timeline, and backup plan. Need a pen, glue, medicine, pliers, a fork, a zip tie, extra pair of socks? Don’t worry, I got you covered! 😂

Now, let me tell you the reason why I do what I do—I LOVE, LOVE!!!! Whether it’s an intimate setting with just a couple or as they walk down the aisle toward each other, the sheer amount of love in that very moment is indescribable! And that, my friends, is something I will never get enough of! ❤️

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
As a wedding planner, I would have to say that the three key qualities/ skills, that I find most important would be the ability to adapt, and quickly think on your toes, (thrive in the chorus), and lots of research! (I love to be a knowledgeable resource for our clients. With that being said, we do a lot of research to be sure that we can provide the best recommendations possible.)

How can folks who want to work with you connect?
Yes! We are always looking for future collaborative opportunities as vendor relationships are a huge aspect as well as a resource for our planning services. Our goal is to be able to have a vendor to accommodate any of our client’s wants or needs.

I firmly believe that while we may not always possess all the answers, our strength lies in our ability to connect with experts who do. This philosophy underscores our commitment to providing comprehensive solutions and ensuring the utmost satisfaction for our clients.
