We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Kamron Bennett a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Kamron, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?
When I was working at a warehouse job, I was highly into fitness. I wasn’t certified at the time, but enjoyed health and fitness. I had a few coworkers that noticed my passion for it, and suggest to me that I should look into becoming a personal trainer. They even went as far as encouraging me to start a boot camp for them on the weekend where I would host a group workout. Through doing those boot camps, it made me realize that I enjoyed and was fulfilling to help people improve their lives. That is where I found my purpose. To help others live healthier lives.
Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I’m a personal trainer and fitness coach, specializing in corrective exercise. My brand name is KBFIT2.0 and my motto is “build yourself from the ground up”. Whether in person or virtually, I work with my clients on their specific goals, providing them with a customized workout program as well as nutrition guidance. It is an amazing experience being able to help people move better and live better.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Three qualities that have been the most impactful on my journey are work ethic, confidence, and communication. These qualities are things that I’m constantly working on to improve. There is not just one way to develop these qualities. I, personally, was put in situations throughout my life that challenged me in these areas. For anyone else wanting to develop these, I would suggest finding books and podcasts that discuss them to help find tools and better advice.
How would you describe your ideal client?
My ideal client is someone who is serious about their health and well-being. Someone who is committed and open to my support, encouragement, and coaching.
