Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Arielle Ross. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Arielle, you’ve got such an interesting story, but before we jump into that, let’s first talk about a topic near and dear to us – generosity. We think success, happiness and wellbeing depends on authentic generosity and empathy and so we’d love to hear about how you become such a generous person – where do you think your generosity comes from?
Simply put, I am extremely blessed. I have a beautiful life filled with beautiful people and experiences. I know the life that I have is not the norm for the vast majority of people in this world. I believe that no one got to where they are without someone else extending a hand. My goal in life is to extend my hand to as many people as possible; to help lift them and give them the tools and resources to succeed. We need each other to improve ourselves and the world around us. For me, when you invest in the good in people, you improve the whole world.
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I started a cosmetics line rooted in a women empowerment platform. So, what does that mean? It means that the product sales are the catalyst to do meaningful work in the women empowerment space. I launched “The Dream Palette” in March of 2023. The Dream Palette is a ten shade palette that can be used on the eyes and the face. The palette is completely clean and free of any harsh chemicals or damaging ingredients.
– 10% of every product sale is donated to Speak Up for the Poor, an organization who works to keep young women and girls in school and out of child marriage.
– For every palette sold, we plant a tree in a part of the world that needs it most.
– Our packaging is recyclable and eco-friendly.
– We use a shipping company that offsets their carbon footprint. Every shipment that goes out has a net carbon footprint of zero.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
1) a strong work ethic 2) integrity
3) compassion
A strong work ethic, integrity and compassion will take you very far. I suggest forming good work habits and a discipline structure (this includes taking breaks and taking time away from your work!). Calendars, schedules and time mapping are very helpful to me and my work. I try to always operate with a good heart, pure intentions and a lot of integrity. If I say something, I mean it. Treat people fairly and operate with integrity. I promise, it will come back to you. Lastly, compassion is one of my keys to success. It is so important to have compassion for what people are going through. You never know what goes on behind closed doors in someone’s life. Operating with compassion is appreciated by the people you interact with speaks volumes to your character.
Who is your ideal client or what sort of characteristics would make someone an ideal client for you?
My ideal client/customer is someone who is proud of who they are and uses their strength to uplift those around them. My ideal client is passionate about uplifting women and making the world around them better. They are conscious of the power of their dollar and choose to spend it with companies with a strong mission and even stronger morals. They are intentional about how they show up in the world and more so, the impact they want to have on this world. My ideal client cares deeply.
