Meet Jahad Zenith

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Jahad Zenith. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Jahad, thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?

WOW! Tough question. First, thank you so much for inviting me here as your featured guest. It’s a tremendous honor to be here. As for the question, Looking back I believe it’s a series of things that drive me to work hard. First and foremost, God is the beginning of all things and any good in my life is from Him, and all the wrong belong to me. Poverty was something that I never got comfortable with. Growing up having nothing under my struggling moms roof caused me to daydream many days of being wealthy and taking care of my family. I also learned that if you want a thing, you have to go get it. It’s not gonna come to you. So I paid attention to those that were leaders in many industries and took notes.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

I consider myself a jack of all trades, a master of none. LOL! I mean, I stay busy experimenting with different business ventures from retail, property, taxes, etc…. and the ones that are the most lucrative has my attention the most. At this point in my life, my biggest project is being a better man overall. Im a striving Muslim, and being a devout member of The Community Mosque of Winston Salem, doing service work under the leadership of our Beloved Imam Khalid Griggs is helping me achieve that goal. I want to say my journey to Paradise is my priority. As for business, the first 4 months of the year, it’s all about Ummah Tax Solutions. Ummah Tax Solutions is a business organization that consist of a nationwide network of financial professionals working together with a powerful back-office support including a comprehensive knowledge base. This tax organization empowers the professionals with the tools to be their own boss.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Open-mindness is definitely number one. A closed mind is the most expensive thing we own. Why? A closed mind is equal to a closed mouth that cant get fed or un-moldable clay, It cant take advice, criticism, suggestions, etc… Secondly, willingness. Willing to take chances, make sacrifices and demonstrate discipline! Lastly, Faith! Believe in yourself! Dont be afraid to lose. Loses are lessons leading to victory.

Is there a particular challenge you are currently facing?

The biggest challenge for me as a black business owner is no different from any other black own business. The census says we are responsible for only 4% of the small businesses in the United States and have hire an average of 1.2 employees. Which means yourself and someone else 2% of the time. LOL! It was hard to find partnerships, teammates, people wanting to build, take chances, make sacrifices and lead, especially in the community I’m from. At the beginning it was difficult getting the community to believe in my service above competitors of other racial backgrounds. Alhamdulillah, I never allowed that to stop me from chasing my dreams. In truth, this made it so much more rewarding.
