Meet Karen Ortiz Salguero

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Karen Ortiz Salguero . We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Karen below.

Hi Karen, thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?
I draw my work ethic inspiration from my mother. As a single mother, she exemplified the achievements of a strong, independent woman. I entered the workforce at 16, upholding my core values of honesty, respect, and integrity, which align with my strong work ethic. I believe that every problem presents an opportunity for a solution.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I began working at the age of 16 and explored various career paths before realizing my true calling and embracing my healing talents. Assisting and healing others brings me immense joy. I find fulfillment in providing ethical generational sacred limpias, cleansing auras and offering a fresh start to those feeling stuck. Creating products for energetic, mental, emotional, and sometimes physical healing excites me every time. I am continuously sourcing ethical minerals and crystals to support individuals on their spiritual journeys through events I attrend

I am (K.O.Healing) at the Rosebowl Flea Market every 2nd Sunday of the month at spot 523B, then at the South Pasadena Flea Market every 3rd Saturday of the month and many other localy city events, Arcadia, Sierra Madre, SGV.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Remaining consistent, staying truthful, and maintaining a positive attitude are three attributes that will shine through in any endeavor. So, if you’re embarking on a new and challenging journey, don’t lose heart. It’s alright to begin from scratch and reset. Having faith and a strong base will always propel you forward.

Before we go, any advice you can share with people who are feeling overwhelmed?
When I feel overwhelmed, I tend to disconnect and recharge. I find solace in listening to my inner self and allowing it to rejuvenate.

For example, Connecting with nature can be enjoyable, whether you’re following your inner child’s lead, tending to a garden, working with crystals, or practicing meditation.
