Meet Jay King

We recently connected with Jay King and have shared our conversation below.

Jay , appreciate you making time for us and sharing your wisdom with the community. So many of us go through similar pain points throughout our journeys and so hearing about how others overcame obstacles can be helpful. One of those struggles is keeping creativity alive despite all the stresses, challenges and problems we might be dealing with. How do you keep your creativity alive?
My creativity keeps itself alive, because after one project is finish by nature I’m working on creating the next one.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
For those who don’t know me, my name is Jay King.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
My faith was the most impactful quality through my entire journey because it kept me grounded. When I thought everything was falling apart or if things seemed like they weren’t going right, my faith was there and it kept my hope alive for the things that were yet to come but unseen. My advice to anyone in there early journey of entrepreneurship is to “Keep Moving Forward.” And to take every obstacle as it comes and don’t let nothing deteriorate your dreams. It will work.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?
I’m always looking to partner up and collab with other creative people. I feel it is very important in the entrepreneur world to have friends from all different walks of life. You never know what knowledge you could learn or gain. I honestly have a couple of business projects at the moment that could always use a few helping hands. I am the Executive Director of a non organization called “We Are People Too” where we are currently preparing to throw our first major event where we will be making Blessing Boxes for the tri-state area, to help aid the homelessness with their everyday necessities that’s needed for everyday life. If anyone would like to help with that please feel free to text, call or email, we also accept donations that goes towards the upkeeping and the filling up of the boxes.
