Meet Daniel T. Edwards

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Daniel T. Edwards a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Daniel, thank you so much for joining us. You are such a positive person and it’s something we really admire and so we wanted to start by asking you where you think your optimism comes from?
I believe that every day above the ground is a blessing. We are all tiny musical notes in the grand symphony of the universe. I believe that my existence isn’t an accident and I was put here to validate my creation by leaving the world better than I found it. This is my why, and my why makes a way for me everyday and drives me to remain hopeful, expectant and optimistic

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
sales, public speaking & psychology. you can improve these skills by relentlessly seeking information on the topics. for public speaking you can join Toastmasters or similar public speaking training programmes and also volunteer to speak at events to hone your skills. Record yourself speaking and listen to it. Perform your speeches in front of the mirror to see exactly how you deliver. for psychology & sales check out YouTube University, enroll in a course and read or listen to audiobooks on the topic. Here are 5 books I recommend. 1. Triggers-Creating Behaviour That Lasts, Becoming the person you want to be,Marshall GoldSmith. 2. No one understands you and what to do about it-Heidi Grant Halvorson 3.How to Talk to Anyone: 92 Little Tricks for Big Success in Relationships-Leil Lowndes 4. Think and grow Rich-Napoleon Hill 5. The Psychology of Selling-Brian Tracy

Alright so to wrap up, who deserves credit for helping you overcome challenges or build some of the essential skills you’ve needed?
In 2015 I came to a point where I realized I would need mentorship in order to raise my game and step into my highest self. The man was Kevin Wallen-a life coach, wrestler, wellness coach & public speaker. Some of the most powerful tenets he taught me were 1. How you show up in any area of your life is how you will show up in all areas of your life. 2. Release the need to judge others. 3. Solving all your problems especially interpersonal/relationship woes begins by looking within first. 4. Stop taking things personally. 5. Stop living your life based on what others may think of you. 6. If you aren’t where you want to be in life, the best place to start is by getting in shape
